Wigtown May 2005 Book Fair
21st - 22nd May 2005
In May 2004 we had over 75
stands with book dealers from every corner of the UK. A superb
weekend was enjoyed by everyone and we sold a healthy number
of books as well.
Wigtown's
second annual Book Fair takes place on the 21st and 22nd
May in the unique setting of Bladnoch Distillery supported
this year by a rich mix of local Galloway Arts and Craft
Makers. With up to 50 Book Stalls and dealers from every
corner of the UK this provides a unique opportunity to find
that very special long lost book. (Weekend Passes £1).
In
Wigtown itself there will be street markets and entertainment
and a celebration of "Good Food Days" thanks to
Machars Healthy Living Initiative. With demonstrations including "Tasty
Vegetable Soups", "Wok Cooking", "Fair
Trade Stands","Cooking on a Budget" and
oodles more to tempt your pallete, improve your health,
add pounds
to your wallet and lose them from your waistline.
Make sure
you have these dates firmly locked into your diary ...
another great weekend in Wigtown - Scotland`s national
Book Town.
Free shuttle buses will be laid on to transport
you between Wigtown and Bladnoch so parking will not be
a problem - just
park your car up for the day and enjoy.
Your are our guests
for this weekend and we will make every effort to make
sure this
is a weekend
you will not forget.
Thank you for the time given and for your continued support
for the Book Town.
